Continuing my kyuushoku (school lunch) series.
Monday, April 13 The new school year started last week, along with a new round of school lunches (kyuushoku). School lunch here in Japan is pretty nuts, you never seem to get the same lunch twice. and it’s full of veggies that you’ve never even heard of. For the most part I find them to be pretty delicious, [...] I feel incredibly fortunate to have the JTEs I have, they are all nice and I get along with everyone. That said, there is one teacher I somewhat dread teaching with who I shall refer to as Clueless-sensei. He’s a very nice guy, but I’m almost positive he never intended to be an English teacher. [...] Part of the warm-up of nearly every one of my English classes is the song. Each month there’s a new song for the 7th, 8th and 9th graders. Should be fun, right, singing a song every day. Unfortunally, it can be painful. These are kids just learning to speak English, so songs have to have [...] |
