One thing that’s frustrating about being a new ALT is no one seems to tell you what you’re going to be doing once you reach Japan. I used to think this was a JET thing, but talking to ALTs in other companies, it seems to be and anywhere thing. It is ESID and all that, [...] When I come home, I open the gate, check my mailbox, then walk to the door. But occasionally something will move as I walk through the grass. He usually jumps away quickly, but the other day he let me [...] Monday was “Respect for the Aged” day, and Tuesday was a substitute holiday for Sports Day, so I didn’t have school lunch again until Wednesday. Nothing too wacky in this lunch, besides the weird potato chicken stuff. This lunch gets 4 out of 5 gyoza, yummy, gyoza In what may be a series, or just may be a one time gig, I shall unravel the mysteries of the Japanese school lunch.
